A new online vacation rental company has gone viral after it made headlines for raising $6.4 million in a single day.
The Realjoy Vacation Club has a team of “hundreds” of people who “rent” their vacation rentals to families, friends and employees in New England.
The company was founded by Mark Zantopoulos, who runs the vacation rental firm Realjoy, and he says it has been growing quickly in the last six months.
He says his company has become “a real joy for me, as it is a way to stay connected and connect with people.”
He said he has been able to sell vacation rentals for around $100 a day.
But when you add in the company’s “real vacation” features, he said, “that really adds up.”
“It really feels like a great way to connect with families,” Zantopolos said.
“We get to spend the day with family and friends and have fun.”
Zantopolomos said the company has been making money off its “real holiday” features.
Realjoy is a member of the Realjoy Group, a group of online vacation rentals and other services that are also owned by vacation rental giant TripAdvisor.
“Our real holiday features are designed for family and socializing,” Zanopoulos said.
He said the “real” holiday features can include events, parties, movies, concerts and more.
Zantopoulos is looking to expand his company’s real holiday offerings.
Realjoy, which launched in January, offers “holiday rentals” through Realjoy.com.
Zanopolos is the company founder and president.
Zampolis said he also works as an independent consultant.
He launched Realjoy in May 2015 and said the business has been “a joy for us.”
He says the RealJoy Vacation Company has had success selling its vacation rentals in New Hampshire and Connecticut.
He said the state is a hot spot for vacation rentals.
Zantopolis said that he is “always looking for new ways to make money.”
He has sold vacation rentals from his own company, Zampolos Travel.
Zamo has made trips to Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Zapolos said his company was “very popular” in New York and Connecticut and “the best vacation rentals I’ve ever had.”
He is hoping to open a “new business” in the next six months or so.
