The world’s most popular vacation rental website has released a new guide to deciding where to spend your vacation.
It is aimed at people in all walks of life, and includes a list of what to do in a number of major Australian cities, including Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
The site’s new Guide to Vacation Rentals in Australia has the aim of offering renters the best available accommodation options, while also providing useful tips and guidance for people wanting to rent.
The guide aims to answer the questions of: “How do I rent an apartment?”
“What is the difference between a villa and a cottage?” and “Where should I buy a holiday home?”
“Where should you stay?
How should you prepare?””
What is an Australian holiday rental?”
The new guide is the result of a two-year collaboration between vrBooz and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
The ATO provides its own guide to rental property in the country, which is currently not the case.
In a press release, vrBoat, the company that runs vrBO, said it was excited about the new guide, which it called a “first-of-its-kind guide to Australia”.
“Vacation rentals have become a major part of the holiday rental industry, with the number of rental properties increasing by more than 70 per cent over the past five years,” it said.
“Vacations have become so popular that we are seeing a rapid rise in the demand for accommodation.”
While the guide offers a wealth of information on renting a holiday property in a wide variety of cities, it does not provide the detailed advice for choosing a particular property.
For example, the list of properties listed in the guide is short, which makes it difficult for prospective renters to decide on what to rent in a given location.
“Many properties are listed for a number or two properties, or multiple properties,” said the release.
“We would encourage people to look at the properties available and the property type, and if you want to get a bit more specific, you can look at what the property will cost.”
The list also does not include the properties that are actually available in Australia, and these may not be as suitable as the properties in the list.
“The guide also does nothing to explain how to determine the best property for renting.
For instance, it is not clear why it should be a resort property if it does the opposite of what most of the listings on the site recommend, and the properties it recommends are not particularly suitable for a holiday rental.
The listing for a home in the northern suburbs of Townsville is listed as a resort rental, but is not the best choice for a vacation home, according to the guide.
A similar situation occurs when the property is listed for an apartment, but its owner does not live in the home, or if the home is a luxury condominium, the owner does live in a suite, and that is not a rental property.
Vacancy definitionThe guide does not specify which types of properties are classified as vacation rentals in Australia.
The guide lists a number, such as “vacancy-only apartments”, “vapour condominiums” and “luxury resorts”.
While the definition does not give a precise number, it says that most people who want to rent an accommodation, especially for a short stay, should rent from a property with a minimum stay of less than 30 days.”
Some properties can have a maximum of 90 days, and a longer stay is possible with a single occupancy, with up to two other people,” it says.
The list of property types the guide refers to are not the only properties that could qualify as vacation properties.
The list also mentions properties that rent for an average of two people, and include properties for a couple.
The listing of properties with a total occupancy of up to one person does not mention these properties.”
Vacant accommodationThe listing of apartments that are available for rent as vacation rental properties does not indicate the type of accommodation that will be rented. “
However, many of these properties have limited space and therefore are not ideal for the accommodation, particularly if they do not have the amenities or services that a guest room would.”
Vacant accommodationThe listing of apartments that are available for rent as vacation rental properties does not indicate the type of accommodation that will be rented.
The Airbnb listings that vrRentAussie does list on the website, for example, do not include any listings of holiday accommodation, and therefore do not qualify as a vacation rental.
